NEMO Hornet Elite Backcountry Tent Pushes Lightweight Design

The NEMO Hornet Elite 2-person backpacking tent weighs in at just under two pounds (1 lb, 12 ounces to be exact) making it about the lightest backpacking tent with two doors and two vestibules on the market.

This is truly a gear freak’s tent, but also someone who just doesn’t like to carry a lot of extra weight. With a single pole that forks, this tent does not expand on one end as other tents with two poles might, but that’s sacrificed for less weight.

There still seems to be plenty of space, however, when we checked out this tent at Outdoor Retailer 2016 in Salt Lake City recently where we spoke with Kurt Schnackenberg.
