After years of creating some of the best camp stoves and cooking equipment, JetBoil is poised to release its first stand-alone universal system called the Mighty Mo.
Showcasing it first at Outdoor Retailer 2016, the Mighty Mo comes with a 10,000 BTU burner, offering plenty of power for boiling water in a hurry and also one of the best simmer controls you’ll find on the market.
“It’s real easy to turn it down to a nice low level so you can cook your food to perfection instead of burning beyond recognition,” said Adam Wilcox, product designer for JetBoil who demonstrated the stove at Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City recently.
When you’re not using it, this stove folds up to a package about the size of a film canister (if you’re old enough to know what those are) and weighs just 95 grams.
While all of its other stoves are sold as a complete package along with cooking pots, the Might Mo is the first stand-alone universal system meaning that it will work with other cookware.
All of its other systems are built to integrate with the cookware. And while the Mighty Mo will nestle into your existing JetBoil cookware, you’ll have the option to use what you want.
“We felt with the simmer control on Mighty Mo, having the ability to use your own cookware could open up your cooking options in the backcountry rather than just boiling water,” Wilcox said.
When it goes on sale starting Jan 1, 2017 the JetBoil Mighty Mo will sell for $49.95
