Normally it’s ice hockey players that box it out when things aren’t going right. This time its motocross athletes. Only their sport is not as forgiving at the National Hockey League.
For his part in a recent fight, Weston Peick was disqualified from the event, suspended from an upcoming race and fined $5,000, according to Transworld Motocross.
Peick was upset at fellow rider Vince Friese for an aggressive move that left both riders with their butts in the dirt. The pair reportedly have history between one another that’s gotten especially heated this year on the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross series.
The recent scuffle took place at the stop in Anaheim, California. After Friese had knocked Peick off his bike in an earlier heat, the two met up again in the semi rounds where their fates clashed once again.
That’s when Friese took Pieck out again, and this time he wasn’t having any of it. Laying into his neck and helmet in pure frustration.
