Wildlife officials in Maryland snapped into action recently to rescue a black bear that managed to get its head stuck in a milk jug.
The bear had been spotted near Cunningham Falls State Park in Maryland struggling to get its head out of the jug. Officials with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources arrived to find the bear lying down exhausted, according to the Washington Post.
Officers then tranquilized the bear for their own safety and cut the jug off with a saw. When the bear weighing nearly 200 pounds awoke, they said it walked into the woods unharmed.
The photo taken of the bear posted to Twitter was shot while the bear was tranquilized.
