Almost all of President Barack Obama’s recent trip to Alaska has been seen in the news. But there was one portion that won’t be viewed until later this year and that’s a segment he taped on survival skills with Bear Grylls.

The survival expert met with the President as part of his NBC television show Running Wild With Bear Grylls. Details were not revealed on exactly what obstacles the two tackled, but previous episodes with celebrities have included harrowing rappels.
Obama’s appearance on the show comes amidst his three-day trip to Alaska in an effort to highlight climate change. He visited with salmon fishermen and walked on the melting Portage Glacier, which Obama referred to as “ground zero” for climate change.
As part of the trip President Obama took over the White House social media accounts, which resulted in a selfie with Grylls and a selfie video diary embedded below.
Obama’s trip marks the first time a sitting US president has traveled to the state. He also made history by renaming Mount McKinley back to its Native American named Denali.
