Big, bad and powerful: this is the ATV that got the industry talking when it was released! It’s Arctic Cats’ newest: 951cc SOCH four-stroke, four-valve, V-twin with a liquid-cooled engine. There’s plenty to like about this hefty utility superstar, with its effective EFI system that feeds fuel to the engine for an instant cold start.
This Thunder Cat has a low center of gravity, but still provides 11 inches of ground clearance. One feature receiving consistent praise is the suspension – when you’re seated, depending on your size, the machine will “squat” approximately two inches but still maintains its ground clearance and it has a full 10 inches of suspension travel. Riders recognize that this aids them in aggressive cornering and provides them with improved stability in handling even at higher speeds.
As with other Arctic Cats, this ATV comes with a reliable Duramatic constant velocity transmission (CVT) with 2 wheel drive/4 wheel drive selectable high/low range, and front differential lock that makes a positive difference when you’re traveling over the worst terrain.
Thunder Cat 1000 H2 is a big boy at 716 pounds, with a 52.5 inch wheel base and hydraulic disc front and rear brakes. Retail price for this ride is $11,199 and includes aluminum wheels.
Got Mud? There’s another Arctic Cat model right up your muddy alley! Arctic Cat has designed an ATV for southern riding – and it really can conquer all of the nasty, sticky mud pits that bog down so many other ATVs. The 700 H1 EFI Mud Pro has 14 inches of ground clearance and a factory air-intake snorkel, and comes equipped with Outlaw MST mud tires. This 695cc daredevil shows no fear, and charges hard through the muddiest terrain without any problems.
