As far as fishing goes, the 200-acre Offut Lake is stocked with a large variety of trout, as well as largemouth bass and perch. Anglers have good luck throwing jigs tipped with pork, but many have also had great luck with live bait, such as nightcrawlers. Only electric motors are permitted, however, and there is a 5 mph speed limit on the water, to preserve the peace and safety of guests and other anglers. Furthermore, the resort also holds several fishing derbies throughout the year, and offers great prizes for the winners, such as brand new Minn Kota trolling motors.
Aside from fishing, guests are welcome to explore all the Western Washington state has to offer. The resort is within driving distance to several attractions and is actually less than an hour from the Space Needle!
While it may not have the high-tech, modern amenities of a four-star hotel, Offut Lake Resort is the perfect Getaway for any angler in need of a quiet weekend on the water. After all, we travel to such lodges and resorts to fish, right? We don’t need 36-inch flat panel TV’s or a bathroom the size of a house.
